On Saturday, May 12th, the Annual Champions for Children’s Walk will take place in Dixon. This walk was created to give a voice to victims of child sexual abuse. 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be the victim of sexual abuse by the time they turn 18 years old. The Shining Star Children’s Center is the front line defense for these children and their families. The money raised will ensure the Center will be able to keep helping these child victims.
