The Global Project 2013 and Student Council will be selling cookies,Gatorade,and student made craft items during the PBIS Celebration Day on Friday, April 26th . We are raising awareness and funds to address unsafe drinking water in Africa’s communities. T-shirt order forms will be available at the concession stand in the cafeteria. Craft items range from .25 to $5.00. M & M cookies will be.50 and Gatorade is $1.50. All proceeds will be donated to Heifer International this year to purchase irrigation pumps. We have an anonymous donor matching our funds, so let’s all work together to make this project a big success!

Attention Yearbook staff: Short meeting this Friday, April 26th, at 7:25 am in room 243!

Detasseling applications are available from Mr. Ricks, Mr. Randick and are in the main office. Students must be 13 in order to fill out an application.

Yearbook order forms are now available in the main office.  The price is still $35.  Payment must accompany the completed form.  Over 230 sold!  Only 99 yearbooks left! Order yours today!

Congratulations to the RMS students selected for the Scholastic Bowl Regional Team: Jayden Erb, Kaylee Rice, Caroline Costello, Cameo Dixon, Mary Hildebrand, Evan Tschosik, Jacob Hunkins, Jared Harrison, Rishik Hombal, and Ellie Chidley. They will be competing against 5 other schools at Thurgood Marshall School in Rockford on Wednesday, April 24. Also, don't forget the Awards Pizza Party for all Scholastic Bowl students on Monday after school in the cafeteria.

Reagan Middle School will be hosting a "Hat Day" on Friday, April 19th. In order to wear hats, students must bring in $2.00 and pay their first hour teacher. Mr. Magnafici will give each first hour teacher a Relay for Life sticker that they will give students to wear after they pay their two dollars (this will serve as a pass for students to wear their hat). Once money is collected, teachers can bring that money down to Mr. Magnafici..

The 8th grade field trip to Springfield, Illinois is Tuesday, May 21st. Letters and permission slips are going home on Wednesday, April 17th. All 8th grade students need to return their field trip permission slip and $10 to their 8th hour teacher by Friday, April 26th.

Bring your spare change to vote for Reagan Middle School's Cutest Pet during all lunch hours this week. All proceeds will go to the Granny Rose Animal Shelter.

The Annual RMS Talent Show sponsored by Student Council will held on Friday, May 3rd at 6:00pm in the old gym. Student Council is looking for acts! Students and teachers are welcome to perform. All performers must sign up during lunch hours or with Mrs. Renkes in room 139 the week of April 22nd. All acts must be approved before the talent show.

The 8th grade dance has been extended to 9:30! The dance time is 6:30-9:30.  Because there is food and drink at the dance, a fee of $7.00 is required along with a signed dance permission slip for an accurate student count and admittance to the dance.

Available now for 8th graders......Graduating class of 2017 t-shirts!  If your 8th grade student would like a "class of '17" t-shirt, please fill out the order form that was sent home and return it to the office.  The t-shirt cost is $10.00.  ** Orders/money must be received by Tuesday, April 16th!!! **  That's next week! These t-shirts are PERFECT for purple pride wear to start off your freshman year at DHS!!

The First Annual RMS Dodgeball Tournament will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 6pm. Parents and students are invited to cheer on their favorite team. Admission is $2.00 per person. There will be a concession stand open with candy and drinks.
