October 16th Senior Night: And the band played on

A dozen marching seniors took the field for the last time on Friday, Oct. 16 for a fantastically unforgettable band senior night.

With both teams plagued with injury, the Dixon High School cross country program is finishing up the championship part of the season.
"[The boys] have been improving every week," said head boys and girls coach, Mark Nelson. "They're a pretty inexperienced group, but they worked pretty hard to get where they are."
"I think that people thought we lost too many people to make a difference this year, but we proved them wrong," said Ross "Bob" Kavanagh. "We came closer as a team, faster runners, and we came closer to God in the process."
