EIGHTH GRADERS AND THEIR PARENTS
GRADUATION AND DANCE GUIDELINES
June 3, 2011

GRADUATION

1.    Graduation will be held in Lancaster Gymnasium at D.H.S. at 6:30 P.M. followed by an eighth grade dance at Reagan Middle School on FRIDAY, June 3rd.  There is no admittance fee for graduation.
2.     Students should be present in the Dixon High School old gym no later than 6:10.
3.      Eighth grade students who are eligible for promotion may participate in the ceremony.  Those being retained or attending summer school may not attend the dance.  Parents will be notified of any retentions.  If students choose to misbehave at school before graduation, they may not be allowed to go through the graduation ceremony / dance at the discretion of the administration.

RMS recently ran a fundraiser to benefit the Shining Star Foundation.  During the lunch hours on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, RMS students raised a total of $120 for the charity.  In return for this donation, and student participation, Officer Quadraro allowed himself to be duct taped to a wall at RMS.

On Wednesday, April 27, 2011, all DHS Freshmen and Sophomores will take the PLAN test from 7:50-11:00. One lunch period will then be held from 11:00-11:40 in the cafeteria.  Seniors will report to school by 11:40, and then all freshmen, sophomores, and seniors will attend their 5th, 6th, and 7th period classes following our regular afternoon schedule.  We will follow a regular schedule on Thursday, April 28 with Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors.  Juniors will be taking the ACT/PSAE tests off-campus on Wednesday and  Thursday, April 27-28, 2011.
