Reagan Graduation and Dance Print

Graduation will be held in Lancaster Gymnasium at D.H.S. at 6:30 P.M. followed by an eighth grade dance at Reagan Middle School on FRIDAY, JUNE 1. There is no admittance fee for graduation.

Students should be present in the Dixon High School old gym no later than 6:10.

The 8th grade dance follows at 7:30 in the Reagan Middle School Cafeteria. A student drop off area will be manned by parents.

On Monday, February 27th, twenty-three new members were inducted into the National Honor Society. These students were selected based on scholarship as well as service.

New members are:  Claire Etchison, Jacob Felz, Andrew Pepper, Michael Barth, Kelsey Boll, Brenan Chacon, Thomas Clemens, Alyssa Diehl, Kacie Dillow, Joseph Hammitt, Jeremy Harris, Aaron Helander, Jennifer Hickey, Justin Hohlen, Matthew Kerr, Jordan Lorenz, Rachel Musser, Brittany Rumph, Hayley Thomas, John Thomas, Courtney Tressel, Vivian Villegas, Mackenzie Wolfley. Congratulations to all of the new members!

 
 
Envirothon Regional Champs Print

On March 6th the Dixon High School Envirothon team won first place in Freeport regional at Highland Community college. This year the Dixon High School team consisted of Justin Hohlen, John Thomas, Joey Hammitt, Vivian Villegas and Kacie Dillow. All 5 team members are juniors have a strong interest in science and natural resources.

The regional competition in Freeport consisted of the 6 counties of Jo Daviess, Ogle, Lee, Stephenson, Whiteside and Carroll. Nearly 30 high school teams competed. The team won $2000 in scholarship money and will advance to the state competition held in May in Monticello, IL.

The students of Dixon High School will show off their talent on Friday night, March 16, at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium when the Class Officers present their annual "Variety Show".  There are over 20 great acts including singing, dancing, and entertaining.  Don't miss this show!  Admission is $5.00. Children under 10 are free.
